Join the Filming at Cannes
For culturally fluent private individuals and bespoke travel clients seeking discreet access to live cinema-making—rather than festival visibility.
An invitation-only cultural immersion set during the Festival de Cannes, offering guests the opportunity to step inside an active filmmaking environment while the festival is underway. The experience places participants within real creative settings, carefully selected Riviera locations, and the discreet operational spaces where cinema is shaped, positioned, and valued — from development through production and market positioning.
Each May, Cannes becomes the centre of global cinema. For eleven days, filmmakers, producers, financiers, and cultural leaders gather in the South of France as films premiere, careers take shape, and the international film economy quietly moves into alignment. While the Festival unfolds along the Croisette and inside the Palais des Festivals, its true life exists beyond the red carpet—in private rooms, working offices, and informal encounters where creative and commercial decisions are made in real time.
This experience is not about observing Cannes from the outside. It is about participating from within. Through the Film Lab, guests move beyond pass-through attendance into a lived, authored engagement with the festival—joining a working production and experiencing cinema as it is actually made, discussed, and positioned.
Previous Cinematic Immersions
These images capture moments from previous Momentum Starboard immersive journeys and private gatherings held alongside major cultural and film-market occasions. They are not staged or promotional; they reflect how these experiences naturally unfold—through small groups, carefully chosen settings, and unhurried time spent in place. Guests move through cultural environments as participants rather than observers, with space for conversation, reflection, and genuine connection. Over time, this approach has drawn individuals who value authenticity, discretion, and cultural depth. The Cannes experience continues this established way of travelling: immersive, composed, and grounded in real environments.

A Festival Lived From the Inside
Momentum Starboard’s Cannes immersion is designed for guests who value access, authorship, and cultural depth. Moving through Cannes and the Riviera with a carefully controlled pace, the experience blends discreet hospitality with proximity to live filmmaking—offering a rare, intelligible view of the festival beyond the surface.
Curated, Not Touristic
This is not a schedule of attractions. Locations are selected for atmosphere, privacy, and narrative value—quiet terraces, elevated viewpoints, islands, paths, and interiors that allow space for conversation and reflection.
Embedded in Real Cinema
Guests gain visibility into a working Film Lab environment during Cannes, observing how stories are shaped under real festival conditions—without disrupting production or performance.
Riviera as Narrative Space
From Old Cannes and Le Suquet to Île Saint-Honorât, Èze, and inland vineyards, each location is experienced as part of a wider authored journey rather than a destination checklist.
Discreet by Design
Access is limited. Attendance windows are optional. Privacy, pacing, and comfort are prioritised—ensuring the experience remains composed even during peak festival intensity.
The Film Lab — A Working Production
Guests are invited inside Momentum Starboard’s education-led Film Lab, operating as a live production environment during Cannes. The Film Lab operates around a live feature project in active development, progressing through real production and market pathways toward potential greenlighting. This is not observation from the sidelines: participants witness a project in development shaped in real time, with professionally captured material forming part of the official showreel. Call sheets and screenplay excerpts are available on request, and—subject to suitability—select guests may appear on screen as extras.
Invitation-Only Industry Soirées
Access to three invitation-only industry gatherings curated around production, sales, and market context during the Festival, including a private evening reception at a 1905 Art Nouveau villa overlooking the Cannes marina. As the sun sets across the harbour, guests move naturally among filmmakers, producers, and senior industry figures in one of Cannes’ most discreet and evocative private settings.
Inside the Sales Office
An invitation to a closed-door reception hosted within an international film sales office—offering rare insight into the commercial engine of global cinema. Here, guests observe how projects are positioned, territories negotiated, and films quietly financed, gaining a grounded understanding of how cinema moves from screen to market.
Forum, Island & Market Access
Participation in a refined luxury forum held on a nearby island, reached by private boat and removed from the noise of the Croisette. Alongside this, guests receive a three-day Marché du Film village pass, granting access to selected talks, panels, and market briefings focused on international co-production, tax incentives, and global distribution pathways.
Access & Suitability
Participation is limited and by invitation.
